The 52nd International Film Festival of India has many firsts associated with it, stated Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Singh Thakur.
Thakur was addressing the audience at the inaugural ceremony held on Saturday evening at Shyama Prasad Mukherjee indoor stadium.
Mentioning these firsts, the Union I&B minister stated that OTT platforms have been brought on board for the first time. BRICS festival is held alongside IFFI and ‘75 young creative minds of tomorrow from across India’ have been recognized during the festival.
“Laying out the roadmap for the future of Indian Entertainment Industry when India celebrates its 100th year of Independence, the country should be a powerhouse of content creation, especially regional cinema, post production hub for the world by leveraging immense tech talent amongst skilled youth, a destination for film festivals and the most favoured place for filmmakers and film lovers across the globe,” stated Thakur.
