Mapusa candidate plans to move HC

MAPUSA
A resident of Mapusa and a candidate in the cancelled elections to Mapusa Municipal Council (MMC) is contemplating to challenge the fresh reservation notification in the court of law.

An aspirant in the civic election, Sandeep Mirajkar has begun weighing options of moving the High Court against the DMA’s decision to reserve Ward 11 as Scheduled Caste (women).

Incidentally, Mirajkar had filed his nomination as a candidate from Ward 11 when it was reserved as Scheduled Caste (General) in February 4 notification.
