Mapusa civic body gets new chief officer with additional charge

The Mapusa Municipal Council (MMC) has been assigned a new Chief Officer, with the government appointing Kaushik Dessai, Deputy Registrar of Cooperative Societies (Technical), to hold the post as an additional charge.

The appointment was notified through an order issued by Under Secretary (Personnel-I) Raghuraj Faldesai.

Dessai succeeds Chandrakant Shetkar, who had been serving as Chief Officer of the civic body on an additional charge basis for the past three years.

In the same set of transfer orders, the government has posted Anant Malik as Deputy Collector and Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM-I), Bardez, while Vinayak Chari has been appointed Deputy Collector and Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM-II), Bardez.

The appointments are part of the latest administrative reshuffle carried out by the State government.
