Mapusa is on Development bandwagon, says Mandrekar
Gives credit to Dy CM, MMC for good projects

Water Resource Minister and Siolim MLA Dayanand Mandrekar on Tuesday said the State and Mapusa in particular was marching ahead in terms of development, even though Goa got liberated only 14 years later. The minister was speaking after unfurling the tricolour at the Republic Day function at the government complex, Mapusa.
“The ongoing sewerage work has inconvenienced a lot of residents in Mapusa. But the project is important for the town. The sewerage work will be a boon to the people of Mapusa and they should bear with the disruption caused by the sewerage work for some time,” the minister said.
He said Mapusa Municipal Council (MMC) has been doing its best to provide good services to the residents of the town.
“MMC has a big role to play for much of the works that are being taken up in Mapusa,” he said and hoped the council will continue rendering more and better services to the residents of the town.
“Development has reached in some remote villages, which clearly indicates that democracy has paid rich dividends in the nation,” the WRD minister said.
Deputy Chief Minister Francis D’Souza, North Goa Planning and Development Authority Chairman and Calangute MLA Michael Lobo, MMC Chairperson Sandeep Falari, councillors along with Deputy Collector Pundalik Korjuvenkar, Additional Collector Arvind Bugde, Mamlatdar Madhu Narvekar, DySP Mahesh Goankar, Mapusa PI Tushar Lotlikar and other officials were present.
