Rutuja Satyawan Pednekar, a trainee in the Secretarial Practice trade at the Mapusa Government ITI, has secured the top position in the West Zone in the All India Trade Test conducted in July 2026.
The achievement adds to a remarkable year for the Mapusa government ITI, which earlier recorded a first in the history of Goa’s Skill Development Department, with nine trainees securing full marks in the All India Trade Test.
The Directorate of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship said the achievements were the result of sustained focus on quality training, regular practice tests, innovative training methods and the overall development of trainees.
The directorate is headed by Director Vinayak Kambli.
Mapusa ITI Principal Subhash Redkar, group instructor Narendra Onskar, Secretarial Practice instructor Saanvika Pritesh Halarnkar, Employability Skills instructor Riya Haldankar and other instructors and staff were congratulated for their contribution to the trainees’ performance.
Pednekar’s West Zone ranking has further strengthened Mapusa ITI’s record of performance in the national-level trade examination.
