MAPUSA
Mapusa MLA Joshua D’Souza admitted that the results were not as per the expectations but expressed confidence that the BJP will form the council in Mapusa.
“We expected some to win at least 12 to 13 seats. There were few shockers like wards 13, 18 and even 8,” D’Souza said.
He said it was too early to comment what the actual reasons were but the party would analyse the election result very soon.
“I can’t really understand what went wrong. We campaigned vigorously and every worker gave his best on the ground,” he said.
The Mapusa MLA, however, was confident to install a BJP council in Mapusa.
“We are going to form the council. There are no two ways about it. We are working on it,” D’Souza said.
