Mapusa Police on Monday sealed the rooms at Dodamarg which were allegedly used by the accused involved the bank dacoity case at Verla-Canca.
According to sources, Mapusa police conducted a search of the rooms at Dodamarg and seized some items before sealing the rooms.
Police sources informed that the mastermind, Raju Das, and a fast food operator from Dodamarg, Angrej alias Rahul Das, who is absconding, had planned the dacoity at the Verla-Canca bank and had invited their gang from Patna-Bihar.
Raju and Rahul collected the other accused from the Tivim Railway station on December 4 and took them to Dodamarg. They later visited Calangute and Candolim beaches, before robbing the Verla-Canca bank on December 8, informed sources.
Meanwhile, the two accused, Rajkumar alias Raju Das and Hira Das, who were arrested in connection were on Monday remanded to seven days in police custody by the JMFC Mapusa.
Mapusa police had arrested the main accused, Raju Das, at Bambolim on Sunday evening. The two days police custody of Hira Das got over on Monday and both accused were remanded to seven days in police custody after Mapusa Police produced them before the JMFC Mapusa.
One of the accused, Vijaykumar Das, who was beaten up by an irate mob after he was caught following a chase, is expected to get discharged from District Hospital, Mapusa. The Mapusa Police will produce him before a court on Tuesday.
