Mauvin, the
'garbage' of
Cong, is now
BJP's manure
Taking a dig at Congress for calling Mauvin Godinho garbage, Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar said Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) had the capacity to turn garbage into manure which Goa needs.
Speaking to media persons on the sidelines of a function, Parsekar said, “They (Congress) make Sonsoddo out of garbage and we make manure out of it. If he (Luizinho) is insulting him (Mauvin) by calling him garbage then BJP has the capacity to turn that garbage into manure that Goa needs.”
Strongly reacting to former Congressman Mauvin Godinho’s entry into the BJP, GPCC President Luizinho Faleiro had thanked the BJP over Mauvin’s entry stating that it was cleansing the Congress by taking away its ‘garbage’.
The State Unit of BJP too has condemned this statement by the Congress.
“We condemn this statement. Though he (Mauvin) was with the Congress since 2012, he always criticised them and supported the BJP. Faleiro did not have the guts to expel or criticise him when he was in the Congress as he feared that Mauvin would expose him,” said BJP State President Vinay Tendulkar adding, “Another thing that upset Congress was Mauvin quitting the Congress on the same day when their PM candidate Rahul Gandhi was in Goa for the first public meeting.”
Stating that Goans had thrown Luizinho out of the State in 2007, Tendulkar said, “Now he is come back and dreaming of becoming the CM. I want to ask him how much more of garbage he has with him. He will know what is it like being a president when more of his MLAs leave the party.”
