Mayem lake devp: govt sets Oct deadline

State government has set a deadline of October 2017 for the completion of the work on the development of Mayem Lake.

The project comprises of creation of facilities like parking area for 57 cars and 10 buses including approach road and entrance gate, entrance plaza and ticketing booth, development of internal pathway and natural trail, cafeteria and coffee deck, amphitheatre with a capacity of 150 persons, toilet blocks, play area for children and mirror maze, picnic spots and landscaping and Illumination
"GTDC has already taken up the project of development of Mayem lake boating site at a cost of Rs 8.93 Crore. The work order has been issued to M/s Bagkiya Constructions Pvt Ltd, Porvorim", stated the reply of Tourism Minister.

Ajgaonkar promises meeting on issue of changing rooms for beaches
