Meet on cashless transactions

CURCHOREM: Sanguem Cricketers in association with Karnataka Bank Ltd Sanguem organised an awareness meeting on cashless transactions.

The locals were urged to use mobile banking app and swiping machines for their day-to-day transactions.

At the awareness meeting organised at Sanguem bus stand recently, Sanguem Cricketers and Karnataka Bank Ltd officials urged the locals not to panic due to the recent demonetisation and to conduct cashless transactions.

Karnataka Bank Sanguem manager Raviraj Upadhyay said people having bank accounts in his bank can download mobile app of Karnataka Bank on their smartphones and after receiving a bank code, they can easily enact cashless transactions.

He said people can also use swiping machines and Universal Payment Interface (UPI) in cashless business transactions.

Over 100 locals attended the meeting. Sanguem Cricketers club members Durgesh Sangekar and Tushar Karmalkar were also present. Durgesh Sangekar compered the programme, while Tushar Harmalkar proposed the vote of thanks.
