Stating that discussion on Congress Legislature Party (CLP) leader was held during his recent visit to Delhi, State Congress chief Amit Patkar, however, said another meeting is scheduled on September 3, wherein detailed discussions will take place.
Speaking to reporters on his return from Delhi, Patkar said he held a discussion with K C Venugopal on the issue.
“Since Mukul Wasnik was not there, I spoke with him over the phone,” said Patkar while adding that another meeting will be held on September 3, where discussions will be held in detail.
“I have emphasised the need to elect the CLP leader in Goa and Wasnik along with Dinesh Gundu Rao are likely to arrive in the State either on September 11 or 12 where they will speak to all the nine MLAs and accordingly, take a decision,” he added.
Meanwhile, Patkar said as part of the Bharat Jodo Yatra, Goa will also organise a statewide Pad Yatra, details of which will be finalised on September 5.
“Goa is not included in the nationwide Bharat Jodo Yatra, so there will be a state-level Pad Yatra organised,” he added.
