A 19-year-old boy from Merces, Sonu Mahendra Gupta, has been reported missing from Panaji.
According to the missing report registered at Panaji Police station, the boy, a native of Gauribazar, Uttar Pradesh, left from his residence at Voile Bhaat, Merces, on September 10 at 11 am. While leaving from home, he told his family that he plans to go to the Central Library at Patto in Panaji to study.
The police have traced the boy's Platina motorcycle parked in front of Shramashakti Bhavan at
Patto.
However, the probe so far has revealed that Sonu never entered the Central Library building as there are no entry records in his name at the library. Besides, the parking attendant at the Shramshakti Bhavan lane has told the police that he saw the boy return to his bike at 4 pm on September 10. But he mysteriously failed to take his bike with him.
Sources have disclosed that one of the SIM cards used by Sonu has been tracked around Agra in Uttar Pradesh and that the police will on Wednesday flash the missing report across the country in the hope of receiving details of his whereabouts.
