The capital city registered a maximum temperature of 29.8 degree Celsius and a minimum of 20.4 degree Celsius. According to the State Met Department forecast, both maximum and minimum temperatures had dipped, and are expected to fall further in the next five days.
Overall, the State witnessed dry air conditions across both districts as the maximum temperature fell by 2.1 degree Celsius and 4 degree Celsius in North and South Goa respectively.Meanwhile, minimum temperatures were appreciably below normal, falling between 3.1 and 5 degree Celsius. The highest maximum temperature recorded was 32.9 degree Celsius and the lowest minimum temperature of 20.4 degree celsius was recorded at Panaji.
The dry weather condition is expected to continue for the next five days as temperatures are expected to vary between a maximum of 30 degree Celsius and a minimum of 22 degree Celsius.
Wind speeds are expected to range between 4 miles per hour (mph) and 6 mph.
Last year, the state witnessed a delayed onset of the winter and had touched temperatures of 21.3 degree Celsius towards the end of the year.
With the extended monsoon season already at its end, based on predictions, the State will witness an early winter chill this year.
