The Sardar @150 “ Unity March held in Canacona.

CANACONA
The Sardar @150 “ Unity March, organised by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, and the Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs, Government of Goa, in collaboration with My Bharat, was held in Canacona on Friday.

The event, aimed at promoting national unity and inspiring the youth towards nation-building, witnessed significant participation from students and young citizens of the taluka.

Chief Guest and Minister for Tribal Welfare, Sports and Art & Culture, Ramesh Tawadkar addressing the audience said, “The role of youth is extremely important in realising the vision of a developed country. Through such initiatives, we aim to motivate and encourage young people and involve them actively in nation-building. The contributions of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel in uniting the nation can never be forgotten. Though he was a leader of the Congress, the present BJP government has given due respect to his legacy and promoted his work extensively. The youth must come forward for the bright future of our nation.”

The event also witnessed the presence of Executive Director, Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs Dr Ajay Gaude, representative of My Bharat Kalidas Ghatwal, APO Prakash Satarkar, Canacona Sports Officer Rupesh Tawadkar, and Shristhal Sarpanch Sejal Gaonkar along with others.

Dr Ajay Gaude welcomed, while Sanjay Gaonkar compered the function. The planning and coordination of the Unity March were overseen by Rupesh Tawadkar.

Through the Sardar @150 “ Unity March, a strong message of national unity, patriotism, and Atmanirbhar Bharat was conveyed in Canacona. The enthusiastic participation of students and youth from across the taluka made the event significantly and memorable.
