Workers undertake repairs work of the leaking gas pipeline at Bainguinim-Old Goa on Saturday.

A methane gas leakage was reported at Bainguinim-Old Goa, on Saturday afternoon, which was brought under control by the firemen and the company workers.
According to Old Goa firemen, they received a call at around 3.20 pm on Saturday that gas was leaking near the Podar school at Bainguinim-Old Goa.
"Immediately, we effected turnout and first undertook safety measures. We then called up the company officials who arrived with instruments and workers, and sealed the leaking pipe," informed Old Goa fire station in-charge Rohidas Parab and stated that the leaking gas was methane.
Parab further said that bush cutting was undertaken in the area and the bush cutter blade made a cut to the gas pipeline due to which the leakage occurred.
The other firemen who participated in the exercise were sub officer Pandurang Kankonkar, leading firemen Amit Revonkar, Bablo Majik and others.
