Senior leader Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party (MGP) and Marcaim MLA Sudin Dhavalikar on Sunday said that his party was instrumental to the entry of BJP in Goa in 1994, but now it will play a major role to send saffron party out of Goa by 2024.

MGP on Sunday morning took out rally in Ponda city to protest against remarks of union minister Nitin Gadkari, who had asked Goans to finish political career of Dhavalikar brothers (Sudin and Deepak). “Your party may be rich and big. “MGP is in the hearts of the people of Goa. They will not keep quiet. The answer to BJP’s remarks will be given by people. MGP will make you go away from Goa. BJP should apologise to Goans,” he added.

Sudin said that this morcha was to oppose BJP’s remarks against us. “Let us show them their place in the Lok Sabha polls. Let’s work against them,” Sudin told his

supporters.

He Further claimed that MGP has helped the BJP in Marcaim, Ponda, Sanvordem, Shiroda, Sanquelim, Bicholim, Mandrem and Pernem assembly constituencies during the Lok Sabha elections, this time they will

not get the support.
