MAPUSA
The TMC in Mapusa has managed to get a psychological advantage by getting the MGP workers on board to campaign for the TMC-MGP alliance candidate, Tarak Arolkar and giving the Congress in Mapusa a run for their money.
Although the TMC-MGP has cut out a pre-poll alliance for the 2022 assembly polls, the MGP karyakartas and supporters in Mapusa had so far kept aloof and refused to come out and campaign for the TMC candidate.
The new development has added another dimension to the constantly changing political situation in Mapusa.
“Time has come for the people of Mapusa to show faith in the TMC-MGP alliance and win the election for our candidate Tarak Arolkar, who has the potential to develop Mapusa”, said Gitesh Dangui, MGP Mapusa block president.
TMC candidate, Tarak Arolkar appealed to people to select a candidate who can work for the development of Mapusa in the forthcoming assembly elections.
“The Mapusa MLA had got two and a half years to show his mettle. The new bus-stand has become a hot topic for discussion in the State. There is a debate going on that it is easy to fool the people of Mapusa as the bus-stand is not functioning fully,” Arolkar said.
The TMC candidate was addressing a news conference along with MGP office-bearers in the party office in Mapusa.
