PANAJI
The 27 contestants who made it to the finals of the All Goa Konkani Solo Singing Competition ‘Mhozo Tallo Aikat’, organised by Goa Cultural and Social Center, Panaji, did their rehearsals at Clube Vasco da Gama in Panaji on Sunday.
The finals of this competition will be held on June 16 at 4.30 pm at Institute Menezes Braganza Hall in Panaji.
The following 27 finalists, who were selected out of a total of 90, gathered on Sunday to practice and do a stage rehearsal which was attended by the committee members of Goa Cultural and Social Centre.
In the junior category, the participants are: Kerryann V Albuquerque (Ucassaim), Denzila Menezes (Curtorim), Ninoshka Goes (Chinchinim), Janice Melra Fernandes (Varca), Anzia Maria Fernandes (Curtorim), Swena Vaz (Curtorim) Samaira Nadia Furtado (Bambolim), Ashley Mendes (Nuvem), Natsalene Estrocio (Caranzalem) will be singing at the finals on June 16.
In the seniors (male), the contestants are: Jason Manuel Baptist Fernandes (Varca), Jesus Brazinho Rego (Goa Velha), Domnic C Rodrigues (Benaulim), Aldrich Fernandes (Fatorda), Francisco A Pais (Merces), Shriram G Shetye (Bicholim), Boney Vales (Agassaim), Josiah Nicholas Rebello (Panaji), Judas Tadeu Mendes (Nuvem). In the seniors (female), the contestants are: Naisa Lotlekar (Old Goa), Sheena P Fernandes (Curtorim), Venessa Colaco (Quepem), Sneha Symral Pires (Navelim), Swizel Flita Vaz (Curtorim), Valarie Zina D’Souza (Vasco da Gama), Mandira M PhalDessai (Cuncolim), Erica Valanki Pereira (Carmona), Sanny Coutinho (Canacona).
All three categories will perform on June 16. Those interested can collect their complimentary passes from Mr Baker, near Panaji Municipal garden.
