MARGAO
Accusing the central and state agencies for meting out harassment to him in various cases during the last eight years, former Minister Mickky Pacheco on Saturday dared the BJP government in Goa and at the Centre to find out the ministers and MLAs, who have stashed their ill-gotten wealth and black money in foreign banks.
He further pointed accusing fingers at some of the politicians, who are now supporting the present government, for being responsible behind raids conducted by the central and state agencies against him when the Congress was in power in Goa and in Delhi.
Addressing the media, the former minister demanded to know whether the ministers and MLAs supporting the BJP government in Goa and at the Centre have no black money, pointing out that black money is being stashed abroad by the politicos. "Demonetization has only helped the black marketers to convert their black money into white through hawala dealings. And, these people have all gone scot free while the agencies had harassed me though I have been a tax payer," he said.
Saying the investigating agencies have been acting at the behest of the political masters, he pointed out that only Mickky and his family know how they survived and fought three elections since the last eight years. "I am clean and I don't want to beg with any government. I am not supposed to pay taxes in two countries. If American government is not concerned about my tax, how come the Indian government is so much bothered," he said.
Mickky said that as many as three different agencies, including the CBI, Income Tax and the Crime Branch had slapped as many as three cases, including the Nadia Torrado death case. "I am innocent and I know I will come clean one day."
