Porvorim Police registered an FIR under Section 363 of Indian Penal Code and Section 8 of Goa Children Act 2003 and started conducting investigation.
Porvorim Police alerted all the possible sources in the neighbouring states based on information provided by the father of the missing girl.
When the police got information that the missing girl has been traced at Mumbai, a team headed by PSI Anil Polekar was sent to Mumbai by air by PI Jivba Dalvi to rescue the girl.
During the entire rescue operation, Sister Augustina Valadares of ‘Yuvati Shravan’ from Praabhadevi, Mumbai, played a major role in tracing and rescuing the minor victim girl.
The team of Porvorim Police are on their way back along with the victim girl.
The entire rescue operation was headed and carried out by PI Jivba Dalvi under the guidance of Deputy SP Nelson Albuquerque and Superintendent of Police Umesh Gaonker.
