Minor kidnapped in Calangute

Calangute Police has registered a case of kidnapping after a minor girl was reported missing since September 28.

According to the police, the mother of the 15-year-old girl from Cobra-waddo, Calangute filed a complaint saying that she had left for her home town in Karnataka leaving behind her daughter and son in Calangute.

When she came back on September 29, she was informed that her daughter failed to come home in the evening on September 28.

After she and her relatives’ attempts to find her daughter turned futile, she lodge a missing report on Tuesday, police informed.

According to the police, wireless messages have been sent to police stations and efforts were on to check various hotels in the area.

Meanwhile, a kidnapping case has been registered under Section 8 (2) of Goa Children’s Act, 2003.

PSI, Dheeraj Devidas is investigating into the matter.
