Minor landslide in Chicalim, tree falls on house

A house and a compound were partially damaged while power cables were damaged in three separate incidents at Dabolim constituency on Friday.

In the first incident, a minor landslide was reported near the Asma Bar in Chicalim at about 11.40 am. A tree came crashing down with the landslide and fell on a house, damaging the roof and causing a loss of about Rs 20,000.

At 12 noon, a coconut tree collapsed on the compound of a house near Bharat Gas godown at Merces Vaddem in Dabolim. A short while later, a tree fell on electricity wires near Bogmalo Church. Power supply was disrupted for some time.
