Trees uprooted, roads inundated across Pernem taluka

Many trees were uprooted and roads were inundated as incessant rains disrupted life in many parts of Pernem taluka.

A coconut tree got uprooted and fell on the main road at Dadeshwar Mandir at Mopa, causing a traffic jam. Pernem Traffic Police Inspector Vishwajit Chodankar and his team rushed to the spot and diverted traffic via Poraskade.

VASCOA house and a compound were partially damaged while power cables were damaged in three separate incidents at Dabolim constituency on Friday.In the first incident, a minor landslide was reported near the Asma Bar in Chicalim at about 11.40 am.
