Canacona Police are likely to visit Uttar Pradesh to find the 14-year-old school boy, who was allegedly kidnapped after school hours at Char-Rasta, Canacona, on Tuesday.
According to sources, the boy who was initially reported missing after he failed to return to the boys hostel, where he was staying, after school hours, is believed to have been kidnapped by some persons. He was reportedly enrolled to stay at the hostel since June.
Sources at the police informed that the boy most probably fled on his own, as he went to the school with some clothes.
Sources informed that parents of the missing boy had planned to travel to their home state on Thursday.
During inquiry, police reportedly learnt that the boy could have got information about his parents leaving for their home state (UP) without taking him along and could have decided to go without their knowledge.
Parents however, could not provide any contact details of any relatives or any acquaintances in UP and the parents were advised to travel to their home town as planned.
Not leaving anything to chance, police are reportedly investigating the kidnapping angle also, but are reportedly contemplating to travel to the home village of Ankit Mourya in Bahraich, UP.
