Newly-elected Cuncolim MLA Yuri Alemao on Monday was spotted in the constituency riding pillion as he went about inspecting the monsoon preparedness along the internal roads in the Cuncolim Municipal area.
The MLA riding pillion with Cuncolim Municipal Councilor Landry Mascasrenhas went around the wards for inspections.
He had a meeting with officials of the PWD and Cuncolim Municipal Councilors and interacted with the local residents while listening to their grievances.
While the locals suggested that the monsoon preparedness measures should be put in place on a war footing, Yuri impressed upon the PWD officials to complete the works at the earliest.
