MMC Chief Officer threatens SGPDA of notice over wet waste

MMC Chief Officer threatens SGPDA of notice over wet waste

MARGAO
With baling machines operational after a long monsoon break, citizens and shoppers in the SGPDA market are hoping MMC will ride the parking lot from the eyesore.

MMC Chief Officer Agnelo Fernandes assured the citizens he would bring about a turnaround at the parking lot within seven days.

The Chief Officer said the baling operations at the PDA parking lot had come to a halt for various reasons, including the failure to construct the shed to house these.

He, however, tersely told the SGPDA to stop dumping wet waste from the market at the site or he would issue a notice.

“Stray cattle had been feasting on the wet waste at the parking lot which came from the PDA market. I will immediately write a letter to the SGPDA to stop dumping wet waste at the site,” he said.

“The civic body will not tolerate any wet waste at the place where only dry is being baled,” he added.
