Margao Municipal Chief Officer Johnson Fernandes is back in the South Goa District Collectorate as South Goa Additional Collector, but he would hold charge of three offices “ Additional Collector-I, Additional Collector-II and hold additional Charge as the Margao Municipal Council Chief Officer.
The government has posted Johnson to hold additional charge of both Additional Collector-I and Additional Collector-II after incumbent officer Agnelo Fernadnes, who was holding charge of the two posts, proceeded on sick leave a fortnight ago. In the absence of Agnelo Fernandes, the post of Additional Collector-I and Additional Collector-II were looked after by Additional Collector, III, Ponda Damodar Morajkar, who had to shuttle between Ponda and Margao over the last 15 days.
Johnson is not new in the Collectorate, having held the position of Additional Collector, II before he was transferred and posted as MMC CO in November after TCP Minister Vijai Sardesai posted then MMC Chief Officer Agnelo Fernandes as Additional Collector-I with additional charge of Additional Collector-II.
