Margao Municipal Council Chief Officer, Y B Tawde and Municipal engineers had a meeting with the municipal staff and employees on Saturday ahead of the float parade on Sunday.
Tawde told the media that all arrangements for the Sunday parade has been put in place, adding that the organisers have also sought assistance from the multipurpose high school, Borda, to depute their students as volunteers.
Tawde said the organisers have invited Principal Secretary to the government Dr Ranbir Singh, IAS to preside over the festivities as the
Chief Guest.
He said the parade will start at 3.30 pm at the SGPDA ground and culminate near the Borkar super stores at the Nehru stadium.
