After traveling around the country on his motorcycle, 67-year old Pramod Laxman Mahajan arrived in Goa on Friday to promote the cause of organ donation and spread awareness amongst the people.
Received by the Goa branch of the Indian Medical Association, a number of events have been planned in the state during the next two days before Mahajan returns to Pune after covering a number of districts in neighbouring Maharashtra. Mahajan’s expedition was flagged off on October 21 last from Shaniwar Wada, Pune and his mission will culminate at the same place on Republic Day on January 26.
“My mission is to spread the message amongst both urban and rural people to donate organs and save lives. When I address the media in the towns, the media carries the message to the nook and corner of the state. It helps to spread awareness amongst the people”, he told the media.
