The State government has initiated a process to identify around 250 acres of land for setting up Goa’s first ever Film City.
The Entertainment Society of Goa (ESG) on Wednesday issued an advertisement looking for 250 acres of land from private parties for setting up infrastructure for Film and Entertainment Industry that is film city.
“Government of Goa through the Entertainment Society of Goa intends to set up infrastructure for Film and Entertainment Industry i.e. Film City in the State of Goa. Required area is 250 acres approx.,” reads the advertisement.
The ESG has said that interested parties having an area of 250 acres with clear title are invited to approach the Office of OSD to ESG/Officer.
ESG is a state run body which hosts the International Film Festival of India annually in the State. The body headed by Chief Minister Pramod Sawant is also a nodal agency for all the permissions for film shootings in the State.
