MP makes strong pitch for resumption of beef supply

MARGAO
South Goa MP Francisco Sardinha made a strong pitch for the resumption of beef supplies from Karnataka, even as he once again made a fervent plea to Chief Minister Pramod Sawant to intervene with his Karnataka counterpart.

Demanding that the government open the abattoir and allow the slaughter of cattle, Sardinha reminded the Chief Minister that there are no animals in Goa for slaughter and that the state meets its requirement of cattle from across the border.
