Savoikar was speaking to reporters after inspecting construction works for the bridges at Talpona and Galgibaga on Sunday.
“Only BJP can deliver and is delivering so much to the people,” said BJP South Goa president Sarvanand Bhagat, who along with Canacona Block president Mahesh Naik accompanied Savoikar during the inspection.
Besides the two bridges, a third bridge over the Maxem creek are part of the three bridges being planned as part of ongoing four-lane works between Polem and Char-Rasta in Canacona taluka.
The two main bridges have been among the longest pending demands in the taluka and were finally taken up after the Central government laid the foundation stone for the NH17 four-lane work some months ago. Both bridges are expected to cut short the distance for motorists along the NH-17 highway.
