MPT’s power to expand jurisdiction given during Congress rule: Minister

Mindful to the growing anger over the Major Port Authorities (MPA) Bill, Panchayats Minister Mauvin Godinho has insisted that the powers to enable Mormugao Port Trust (MPT) to expand its jurisdiction till Betul was approved while the Congress was in power.
