Mridula gets Padma posthumously

Former Goa Governor Mridula Sinha has been awarded the Padma Shri posthumously. She served as the governor of Goa from August 2014 to October 2019. She breathed her last in New Delhi on November 18 last year. 

Sinha started her political journey from Muzaffarpur as an active worker of Jan Sangh. Later she was nominated as the national president of the BJP Mahila Morcha. A product of Balika Vidyapeeth at Lakhisarai, Sinha was very popular and widely known for her simplicity.
