Terming the Goa government as stone-hearted, the Aam Aadmi Party lashed out at the BJP on Friday and highlighted how Covid warriors have still not been paid their dues.
In a press release, AAP stated that the BJP makes a huge song and dance about Covid warriors, but they ignore them in their time of need, denying them even their dues. The BJP, which is promising 10,000 jobs to Goans, can't even pay 400 staff their dues. During the peak of the pandemic, 400 Goans were hired by the government as multitasking staff. These people without fearing for their life had come forward and worked to save Goa out of the clutches of Covid. It is disheartening to know that these Covid warriors haven't received their salaries for the last 5 months, only due to the inefficient and stone-hearted BJP.
The releases added that while Goa was one of the worst-hit places in the world with Covid positivity rate even touching 50%, today after the second wave, the frontline warriors have been completely forgotten by the government. While BJP makes a huge show about honouring frontline warriors, the fact of the matter is that they don't care for them beyond PR.
