The music fraternity was shell-shocked as the Gogol road accident took away the life of a young musician Bryce Joao Fernandes and left injured three others, all in their teens on Sunday morning.
As the sad news of the death of Bryce spread, a stream of visitors descended at his residence at Colva since Sunday. His close friends informed that Bryce along with other musicians had formed the G-6 band a year ago and had earned the name within a short span. “Bryce and his group had gone to play at Arpora on Saturday night and were returning home early Sunday morning. Bryce was a talented musician, who played keyboard as well as bass guitar,” informed a close friend. Bryce was closely associated with a choir group,
they added.
His funeral will take place on Tuesday noon.
They pointed out that 19-year-old Joshua Vaz, who was also injured in the accident, played drums in
the band.
Meanwhile, Fatorda police station in-charge, PI Navlesh Desai informed that the body of Bryce was handed over to his relatives after a post mortem examination. He said the two injured persons, Clinton Pacelli Martins (25), Varca and Neuman Thomas Pereira (20), resident of Colva were undergoing treatment in the ICU at the Goa Medical College and hospital, Bambolim.
Joshua Vaz (19), who was admitted in the Hospicio is still under observation in the hospital.
