MARGAO

A group of Muslims protested at the Margao Municipal garden on Tuesday against the derogatory and abusive language used against Prophet Mohammed by a leader in Delhi.

Armed with placards and banners, the Muslims demanded justice and the arrest of the person for making the derogatory remarks.

They pointed that though the community has lodged complaints against the accused in Mumbai, Delhi, Goa and other parts of the country, no action has been taken by the government till date.

The person should be booked for creating communal disharmony and enmity between communities and acting against the Constitution of India, the complaint lodged with the district police Chief stated.
