In yet another mysterious death, the body of a 28-year-old resident from Assagao was found in Arpora-Baga on Thursday night.
The post mortem has been conducted but the autopsy report has been reserved even as the viscera has been preserved for analysis.
Anjuna Police have registered it as an un-natural death.
The deceased has been identified as Allan D’Souza a resident of Badem Assagao but originally hailing from Calangute.
Anjuna Police received a call at around 9 pm informing that one person had fallen near a restaurant at Baga. A police team rushed to the site and shifted the body to the Candolim Primary Health Centre, where he was declared brought dead.
After conducting panchanama, the body was shifted to Goa Medical College and Hospital, Bambolim where the post-mortem was conducted on Friday morning.
Police have sourced CCTV footage where it was showing that the deceased was returning on a two-wheeler riding pillion. The footage shows the deceased fell off the two-wheeler but the rider sped off. However, the rider’s face could not be seen properly on the CCTV footage. Police are making efforts to trace the rider.
According to police, the deceased was supposed to leave for Dubai on August 27.
