Nagma puts her weight behind Congress
PERNEM: Bollywood actress Nagma said the BJP has failed to announce its chief ministerial candidate, as it is not sure of its victory in the election.
“It is better to cast your vote for our Mandrem candidate Dayanand Sopte and elect the Congress in Goa,” Nagma said while addressing a Congress meeting at Mandrem on Wednesday.
Hitting out at AAP, Nagma said, “When AAP is a total failure in Delhi, how will it safeguard Goa?”
Priyanka Chartuvedi asked the voters how many youth were employed by Laxmikant Parsekar in his three tenures as Mandrem MLA and as a chief minister. “You have a golden opportunity to make history of defeating the sitting chief minister,” she said.
Former union minister Ramakant Khalap alleged that BJP is anti-Bhahujan Samaj, while Opposition Leader Pratapsing Rane appealed to the Goans to give majority to Congress.
