Even as suspended Margao PSI Stanley Gomes has lodged a counter complaint against victim Edwin Coelho with the Margao police, relatives of the victim demanded to know whether 25-year-old youngster would ever dare to assault a police officer inside the police station premises.
Terming the complaint lodged by the suspended PSI as blatantly false, Edwin’s cousin Aliston Coelho demanded to know how come the suspended PSI suddenly realised after a gap of seven days that he was allegedly assaulted by the victim. “What exactly is the suspended PSI trying to convey, that a 25-year-old lad assaulted him inside the police station premises. And, he thought of lodging the complaint to the Margao police after a gap of seven days,” Aliston said.
Saying that such gimmicks would not cow down the victim and his family members from taking the matter to its logical conclusion, Aliston said the victim will soon file a complaint before the SPCA and in court.
