NBA committee visits Shristhal BMC, advises on PBR preparation

The People's Biodiversity Register (PBR) Monitoring Committee of the National Biodiversity Authority (NBA) has appreciated the work by the Biodiversity Management Committee (BMC) at Shristhal and guided BMC members on various aspects of PBR preparation.

The NBA committee comprising Dr S K Khanduri and Dr Ashraf Aarakkal, along with Dr Pradip Sarmokadam, Member Secretary and Programe Officer Varsha Raikar Hoble of Goa State Biodiversity Board paid an official visit to the BMC Shristhal.

Outgoing Sarpanch Datta alias Pandurang Gaonkar and BMC Chairman Vinay Tubki welcomed the committee, while BMS member Shirish Pai and convenor of Technical Support Group Dhillan Velip and Prof Dipak Bowalkar explained the PBR with a presentation to the Shristhal BMC members.

The Monitoring Committee extended full support for various proposed projects of BMC.

Ex-Sarpanch and Panch Devendra Naik, Panch Ramu Naik, BMC Member Damodar Chari and Govind Velip Secretary Sandip Desai, ex-sarpanch Prashant Desai and ex-panch Sanju Naik were among those present on the occasion.
