Chief Minister Pramod Sawant while highlighting the importance of skill education said that it plays an important role in shaping one’s life in this modern world.
Sawant was speaking at the Silver Jubilee celebration and annual convocation 2019 of Sesa Private Training Institution at Virdi Sankhali on Saturday.
Considering the importance of skill education in this today’s world, Sawant said the government has decided to change the pattern of education and has introduced technical education in the academic field.
“There is need to change the education system in Goa to adapt to the changing needs of the world. Technical education has tremendous scope not only within the country but also at the international level,” he opined.
Accepting that the Goan youth face unemployment problem due to the present education system, being static for the past 20 years, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant emphasized the need to change the system as per the needs of the industrial requirements.
“Our youth are facing hardships as our educational system has not changed,” he observed.
Director, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Deepak Desai, Tapan Bhat, Manager Nestle, also spoke on the occasion.
