The Goan: In one sentence, why should people vote for you?
Joseph Sequeira: There has been no development in the last 10 years in Calangute. The former MLA has taken some wrong decisions like including Calangute in the PDA, and he has also failed to regularize the houses which come under the CRZ, as promised.
TG: If you are part of the government, which is the first legislation you would like to pass in the assembly?
JS: My priority will be to bring legislation which will protect the rights of the local taxi owners.
TG: Which is that one leader outside your party that you admire as a politician and why?
JS: To be very frank, I don’t admire any leader from any of the political parties.
TG: Who would be your CM choice, should your party come to power?
JS: It is left up to the high command to decide.
TG: Do you justify a merger by 2/3rd or do you consider it as a move against the mandate of people? Explain.
JS: It is against the mandate of the people. It should not happen but some do it for their personal gains.
TG: Do you feel the 2022 election will throw a clear winner? Who are your top three finishers along with seats they are likely to win?
JS: BJP will be the clear winner with 23 seats followed by Congress and the Independents.
