Netravali Panch gets PWD to inspect damaged culvert

As the culvert at Vargan ward of Netravali village continues to be damaged after it got washed away in the recent rains, panch member Rakhi Naik took the initiative to get PWD officials to visit the ward to inspect the damage caused to the culvert and to get it repaired on priority.

As the culvert lies in a precarious condition, villagers are unable to take heavy vehicles to the village. Moreover, the school bus which was plying in the village to pick and drop the students have stopped coming to Vargan ward of Netravali village, causing hardship to the students.

“Affected students are now compelled to walk to the nearest Mangal ward to catch the bus,” informed Rakhi Naik.

“Moreover, underground electricity cables which was laid by the side of the canal are also in the open and are likely to suffer damages, if steps are not taken to put them in place.”

Naik informed that after the site inspection, PWD officials have assured to get the culvert repaired at the earliest after getting the work order.
