Chandrakant Velip has been elected president of the Adarsh Yuva Sangh at Gaondongrim-Khotigao, which is primarily engaged in organising the famed Lukosthav at Adhargram, Amone,(Poinguinim) for the last 24 years.
Speaker and Canacona MLA Ramesh Tawadkar is the founder president of the association.
Other committee members include Rupesh Tawadkar (Vice-President), Deepak Velip (secretary), Gangesh Velip (Treasurer) and Payak Velip (Joint Secretary).
The members are Dhananjay Velip, Madhukar Velip, Rajesh Vagonkar, Dipaswi Velip, Akshada Velip, Nilima Gaonkar, Vrinda Velip, Nisha Tawadkar, Kisan Gaonkar, Ajit Velip.
Advisory Committee comprises Speaker Ramesh Tawadkar (Chairman), Ashok Gaonkar (Headmaster in Balram Day Care School, Shristhal), Shrikant Tawadkar, Damodar Velip, Janu Tawadkar, Savita Tawadkar (Sarpanch Poinguinim VP), Prabhakar Gaonkar (BJP Canacona Mandal President), Ashok Velip, Datta Velip, Ashok Gaonkar, Ganesh Gaonkar, Kavita N. Gaonkar, Ganesh Velip, Vishant Gaonkar, Sejal Gaonkar (Sarpanch, Shristhal VP).
In a move to widen activities and carry forward the works at a faster pace of the Yuva Association, four clusters have been formed for the first time at Gaondongrim, Khotigao, Shristhal and Amone.
The heads of the clusters appointed in the junior category are Ulhas Velip (Gaondongrim), Bhiraj Gaonkar (Shristhal), Rajnish Gaonkar (Khotigao) and Vishant Gaonkar (Amone-Poinguinim). In the senior category, the heads of the clusters appointed are Ulhas Govind Gaonkar (Gaondongrim), Purushottam Gaonkar (Shristhal), Premanand Gaonkar (Khotigao) and Rajesh Velip (Amone-Poinguinim).
