New govt will have to probe Mopa land scam: GFDO

The Goans for Dabolim Only (GFDO) on Sunday said the new government that comes to power will have to order a probe into the land scam in the Mopa airport and work for special status for Goa.

Goans for Dabolim Only convenor Fr Eremito Rebello told The Goan that which ever government

that comes to power in the state after the election will have to order an inquiry into Mopa land scan and stop the airport project.

Fr Eremito said that Goans for Dabolim Only is confident that the Dabolim airport can cater to Goa in the year’s to come.

‘What is needed is the expansion of the existing airport to meet the growing needs’, he said.

Fr Eremito further said the new government will have to work for Goemkars and Goemkarponn,

adding that it is time for any government that comes to power to work towards special status for Goa.

He pointed that Goans for Dabolim Only will approach the newly elected MLÃ€s with the twin demands of ordering a probe in the Mopa land scam and work for special status for Goa.
