The Goa State Infrastructure Development Corporation (GSIDC) has completed three new lecture halls at Goa Medical College and Hospital (GMC), Bambolim, at a cost of Rs 40 crore.
The new facilities were inaugurated on Monday by Chief Minister Pramod Sawant in the presence of Health Minister Vishwajit Rane, GSIDC Chairman and Calangute MLA Michael Lobo, Chief Secretary V Candavelou, GMC Dean Prof Dr J P Tiwari and other senior officials.
The project was undertaken for Goa Medical College and Hospital, with FP Project Management as consultants. Tirupati Sarjan Ltd, Godrej & Boyce Mfg Co Ltd, Srishti Enterprises and Power Engineering India Pvt Ltd were involved as contractors.
The project adds to GSIDC’s ongoing infrastructure works across the state, covering hospitals, colleges, schools, roads, bridges and other public facilities.
The new lecture halls are expected to strengthen the academic infrastructure at GMC and provide improved facilities for medical students and teaching activities.
