PANAJI: Archbishop Filipe Neri Ferrao, along with the Church in Goa and Daman, rejoiced over the appointment of Rev Giambattista Diquattro as the new Apostolic Nuncio (Ambassador of the Vatican) in India and extended to him a most cordial welcome, praying for his good health and genuine success of his new mission in the country. Diquattro, who was till now the Apostolic Nuncio in Bolivia, began his Ambassadorial career in Panama in 2005, 28 years after Goa-born Apostolic Nuncio Blasco Collaco (from Raia/Margao) began his, in the same country.
