Newly-inaugurated Fatorda police station registered the first FIR in connection with a molestation that took place at a family get-together at the Dussehra celebrations.
Fatorda police station PI Navlesh Desai informed that police has registered the FIR based on a complaint received from a 29-year-old woman, alleging that she was molested by her brother-in-law (husband's brother) during Dussehra celebrations.
The complainant, who had left for Karnataka after the incident, returned home at Ponda on Tuesday and later approached the Fatorda police station with a request to register a FIR.
PI Navlesh informed that the police has registered a case of molestation and restraint against the alleged accused. He said the accused will be arrested based on the complaint.
