An NGO Goencho Avaaz

has demanded that the report of the inquiry of migrant influx in the State be made public.

It may be recalled that in August 2019, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant assured to conduct inquiry through North Goa collector when a issue was raised during the Monsoon Assembly session about video featuring large chunk of migrants entering the State from Thivim railway station.

Addressing a press conference, Goencho Avaaz co-convenor Swapnesh Sherlekar said that the migrants are used as labourers for illegal activities.

“We wish to ask the

Chief Minister as to what are the findings of that probe. We want Chief Minister to make the report public,” co-convenor Sherlekar

demanded.
